LOOKING FORWARD WITH HOPE

Jeremiah 29:11

March 17, 2025

This week, let’s take time to pray for the future of our church.

As we move further into the month of March, our hearts are still full from celebrating our church’s anniversary. It’s been a time of reflection and gratitude, but now we turn our eyes to the future. What does God have in store for us? How can we continue to grow and fulfill His purposes for our church and community?

The prophet Jeremiah reminds us in Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” These words are a powerful reminder that God’s vision for us is filled with hope, purpose, and promise.

“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (Jer 29:11)

God’s Plans Are Good
Sometimes, it’s easy to feel uncertain about the future. The world around us may seem chaotic, and the challenges we face can feel overwhelming. But God’s Word assures us that His plans for us are good. He is not surprised by the circumstances we encounter, and He is always working behind the scenes to bring about His purposes. As a church, we can rest in the knowledge that God’s plans for us are rooted in His love and wisdom.

A Future Filled with Hope
Hope is not just wishful thinking; it’s a confident expectation in God’s promises. As we look to the future, we can be hopeful because we serve a God who is faithful and unchanging. What does this hope look like for our church? It means dreaming big, stepping out in faith, and trusting that God will equip us for every step of the journey. Whether it’s through new ministries, deeper relationships, or greater impact in our community, God is calling us to be a beacon of hope to those around us.

Walking in Unity and Faith
As we pursue God’s vision for our church, unity and faith will be essential. The enemy loves to sow division and doubt, but we are called to stand together as one body, united in Christ. Let’s commit to praying for one another, supporting one another, and encouraging one another as we move forward. When we walk in unity, we reflect the heart of Christ to the world.

This week, let’s take time to pray for the future of our church. Ask God to reveal His vision for us and to give us the courage to follow where He leads. Let’s also encourage one another with the truth that God’s plans for us are filled with hope and promise. Together, let’s look forward with hope, trusting that the best is yet to come.
