1 Corinthians 15:57
So here is the invitation this week: let us truly live the victorious life awarded to us.
Easter Sunday is the most awe inspiring event in the history of mankind. We hear the story of the risen Christ and stand amazed at God’s power over sin and death as he raised Jesus from the dead, but what happens on Monday? The songs fade, routines return, and quietly, the wonder slips. The tomb is still empty—but are our hearts still full?
But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 15:57 NIV)
Church, Scripture tells us that Jesus didn’t merely escape death – He conquered it. ‘But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ’ (1 Corinthians 15:57 NIV). Yet could we be living like we are still being held captive by satan?
Recall that the women came expecting a corpse; instead, they encountered a living Christ. And sometimes, we do the same. We approach Jesus with familiarity, and familiarity dulls what should dazzle. We know the story so well that we stop standing in awe. But if Christ is risen, then our lives must rise too. Colossians 3:2 tells us to set our hearts and minds on things above. Resurrection is not just an event to remember- it is a reality to reorder our lives around. With the spiritual victory that Jesus has secured for us, believers ought to live victorious lives.
So here is the invitation this week: let us truly live the victorious life awarded to us. Adore Jesus Christ daily. Make it a point to study His Word regularly. Voice your thanksgiving always – we are Kum Yanites, remember?!
Pray continually. Engage in witness, share your testimonies and the good news of Jesus Christ. Identify what is distracting your heart and rid yourself of those distractions. In the power of the Holy Spirit, overcome your obstacles. In Christ, stay on the narrow path of righteousness, persistently doing right in the sight of God.
Brothers and sisters in Christ, don’t let Easter become a memory. Let it become your motivation. This week, don’t just say, ‘He is risen.’ Live like He is reigning. Return to your first wonder and let your heart be full again. God bless you all!
