Revelation 3:20

Our desire is to see every person equipped with at least one handy skill to do evangelism.

Last year during our KY Family Camp, Mr Jason Wong, the camp speaker, shared with us about One for Jesus (OFJ) movement. One for Jesus is an invitation for every believer to bring at least one person to Christ within the next 10 years. Our response then was a resounding yes! As follow-up we lit candles as our act of commitment during the onsite Watchnight Service on 31st Dec 2023.

“I (Jesus) will come in and eat with that person, and they with me (Jesus).” (Rev 3:20)

This year, as a church, we are going to get more involved in this movement. For a start we hosted a training event called Jesus Today – Conversational Gospel which was held yesterday, 20 Jan. This rerun training was to equip every person to share the gospel during a conversation. Our desire is to see every person equipped with at least one handy skill to do evangelism.

Separately, we are also one of the collection points for CNY Come to the Table Outreach bags for churches in Singapore. Come to the Table is an initiative to invite friends, colleagues, neighbours or even total strangers over for dinner during the Chinese New Year period. The outreach bag contains resources to plan and execute the outreach effort. You may get more information from the pastors.

I sincerely hope that our families can consider organizing this at least once this year. Our desire is that Come to the Table will be a lifestyle for every Christian home, and not something we do only during festive or special occasions. I believe that each time we open our homes to welcome pre-believers, we will hear the knocking sounds on our door, and when we open the door of our homes, “I (Jesus) will come in and eat with that person, and they with me (Jesus).” (Rev 3:20).
