A time of great encouragement

Dear KY family,

Every year, the 3 or 4-day Chinese Annual Conference (CAC) is held in November. This is the time of the year where pastors and lay delegates from all 17 CAC local churches gather together for prayer, worship, and Christian conferencing. While most of the time is given to reporting and discussing matters and ministries of the Annual Conference, it is usually a time of great encouragement as we hear testimonies of how God is moving in many different ways and among many varied groups of people.

This year, the CAC President Rev Lek Yong Teck has determined that the Annual Conference should open with a time of corporate worship and intercessory prayer. I would like to invite all of us to come and participate to bring a collective voice of intercession to God for the Annual Conference and the local churches represented therein.

Details of the Opening Worship are as follows.
DATE: 9 November 2026
TIME: 7pm
VENUE: Queenstown Chinese Methodist Church
(400 Commonwealth Drive S149604)
Registration is not needed, so come as you are able to.

Over the past two years as your Pastor-in-Charge (PIC), I have felt an increasing need for intercession for our church and for the larger body of the CAC. Thank you to all the congregations who have regularly prayed for and interceded for Kum Yan. Your prayers have been effective to fuel all the Kingdom work that we have been doing. May I ask that we also pray for the CAC and all our sister churches, that we may all be effective ambassadors for Jesus in our nation for such a time as this!

May Jesus be glorified in Kum Yan and in the CAC!
