English Congregation

Strengthening foundations, building Godly families.

Our English Congregation is served by its Congregational Pastor, Ministry Staff and the English Congregation Management Committee (ECMC). The Congregation is made up mostly of working adults from the ages of 25-60 years with the majority in their 30s-50s. Hence it is not surprising that we have many families with younger children in our midst. A healthy church is driven by the purposes of God for His people: Word, Fellowship, Prayer, Worship, Evangelism, Wonders (Acts 2:42-47). In the nurturing environment of the church family, different ways to help people understand, apply, and live out the purposes of God are adopted. We want to see our members transformed unto Christ-likeness by the power of the Holy Spirit working in and through each person.

Cell Groups

As a community of believers in Jesus Christ, the Christian life is to be expressed in loving, caring relationships with one another. This is best nurtured in small groups or cells which meet weekly for prayer, mutual encouragement in God’s Word and accountability. We believe that ministry (serving others) is the heartbeat of the Christian life (Matthew 20:28) and its scope extends to the marketplace – the individual’s home, school/ workplace, community and society.

Church members who are interested in joining a cell can approach a Zone Leader for assistance.

Christian Education

A key component of our study of the Bible is the use of study materials from Precept Ministries which advocates the Inductive Bible Study method. We believe in using the Bible as the primary source of study to learn about God and what the Bible teaches.

Currently we are using the Precept Upon Precept Inductive Studies and New Inductive Study Series (adapted) in class settings through Zoom and the 40-minute Bible Studies during cell meetings.
